ALPHA 12-Volt DC/AC ballast series includes a UNIQUE AND PATENT APPLIED FOR DESIGN including a special REMOTE SERIES of units. This special line of ballast adaptation allows a user to install unlimited numbers of the DUAL ballast configuration, all which are specially equipped with INDICATING LED lamps, on the ballast itself. This makes it possible to check the circuit from the ballast installation point without going to the actual lamp location. If the lamp is fired and operated properly, the LED is lit! POWER SOURCE: The ALPHA 12-Volt Ballast design is such that any 12-Volt power source is considered a valid power input consideration. You can use either AC or DC for the power source. HOWEVER, the installer should consider only using a DC source so that circuits can later be configured for operational use as a EMERGENCY LIGHTING. Providing a good DC power source, as from a converter connected to a switch over circuit connect automatically to a BATTERY power source entails unlimited application options.
